The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
Hi, The best way, removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into acard reader. (Either you connected via USB or FireWire and won't run down yourcamera's batteries.) Let me know if you need more information
If its a USB ver 2.0 type and you are using Windows XP you won't need any software just plug it in and you should then check My Computer to see if it shows up as an extra drive/drives.
If you use Windows 98 you will need drivers so go to the sony website and check 'download" or 'support' amd enter your model no.
You need the driver for the camera device to work on your PC, and u may probably use a card reader then remove the memory card of the camera put it in the card reader then connect it to your computer. You can go to Toshiba site or google for the driver.
You might have to install the drivers for the card reader.A drivers CD will be there with the card reader. insert it to the cd-rom and install the drivers then only your card reader will show up. Please Vote
