Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Hi i am an Ex Hp tech. this issue will not get resiolve by doing a recovery. ALL Hp computer do a thing called "Tatto in motherboard" when that comes off you get a code red problem. Now if your laptop is under warrenty then you will have no problems you have to get it benched by them. Assuming your laptop is not under warrenty what you can try is installing a different version of windows. Please let me know if it worked othervise we'll try different steps

I believe this is an older HP model so I have a few questions before I tell you what I would do.
Did you get a set of recovery CD's when you bought it? if not
did you create them from within Windows?
ok older modes used to come with a set of DVD's where your operating system was stored for if you WANTED TO RE-INSTALL LATER so look for those that would be your best bet. If you did not get those cd's then your PC came with an option to create them that is a way for companies to save millions on dvd's because you would have to buy them and then burn them. if you did not create them then....... we have a problem because what you have to do is get a cd to re install the OS then get a program that is called JellyBean and change the serial number to the one on your laptop, that works mmm 75% of the time because you are installing someone else's OS but then you are making it legal when you change the number to your own. If you don't have the cd then you have to get a copy to install and forget about the recovery partition that is gone you cannot go back using that anymore. Maybe next time you do that you want to install the 2 OSs on different partitions so you can use either one and remove either one without damaging the other
PS. you have to reformat your drive again
if it works for you don't forget to rate me
