Dell Photo 926 Printer Trouble

I just picked up from a friend of mine a color cartridge--Series 9. which is what my printer uses--when printing the test page it doesn't print in color and it says alignment problem, remove tape from cartridge or check troubleshooting, the tape has been removed from cartridge--any ideas???

I just hooked mine up this morning and am having the same annoying issue.

Replaced black ink cartridge, and continue to get Error Message about alignment. I have removed all tape, and the black cartridge prints fine on documents. However, every time I turn the printer on, it automatically re-prints the alignment page.

The printer says "alignment problem remove tape from cartridges or check troubleshooting." The tape has been removed from the cartridges and the computer says that the cartridges are half full of ink.

installed new blk. ink cartridge, & keeps telling me 2 remove tape. that was already done. keeps printing adjustment page.

mine does the same thing. it'll grab a sheet of paper and crumple it up, but there's no ink on the page.

When I try to print something, it prints the alignment page first. After it prints the alignment page, it prints document.

Most likely the new cartridge is defective. Most cartridges contain chips and these are occasionally bad. See if the retailer will exchange it for you.

Inside printer when open righthand side You'll see a pad and set of brushes clean with clean rag, and run clean in printer options. Then run align cartridges. should solve problem. make sure when putting in ink you just snap in and not mess with after that.
