If you need to clean out the drain pump reservoir, the following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574284-checking_the_drain_pump_on_a_front_loade

If you check the drain pump reservoir and any problems persist, you may have a pump with a damaged motor/impeller, or something lodged in one of the drain lines. In particular, the drain line that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the pump.

I recommend you remove the inlet hose, as well, and inspect for clogs. In is common for small garments to become lodged in this area and restrict water flow to the drain pump. Check the output drain line for obstructions as well.

It does not take much to damage these small drain pumps. If any error codes are generated, it is caused by the drain cycle exceeding 8 minutes. So...if the impeller or motor become damaged, and the pump does not pull water at the correct volume, you may still experience the drain error. In this case, you will have to replace the pump in order to get the error to clear. The following link explains how:

Replacements can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

NOTE: For an explanation of all the error codes, each one of these washers comes with a technical data sheet inside.

To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front fett of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to troubleshoot this error code.

Read through the information provided and let me know if you have any further questions. I hope you find this information helpful.

NOTE: Maytag Epic is manufactured by Whirlpool, so these instructions will apply.

Clean the drain screen

It is best to keep your drains clean. Simply put. If you want to clean that drain screen, you can remove it. I suggest using vinegar to sanitize it. That way you don't run the risk of wearing down the finish.

Oe code. Will not drain. Steps to fix?

Hi

OE in your dishwasher is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. If the issue returns after cleaning then the drain pump assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have the Kenmore Elite HE3t and the control panel lets me change the settings but the door stays locked and the drain pump (off the filter) keeps going but there is no water to drain...cleaned drain out...

Hi

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Please check this video for cleaning:

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

My dishwasher is leaving water in the bottom after finished. The dishes are not cleaning. Are the two related?

Yes more than likely you have a restriction in your pump/drain. you will need to remove the drain cover in the bottom of the dishwasher and clean it out
  • Empty the dishwasher and remove the dish racks so that you can easily locate the drain inside your dishwasher. The drain is under a drain grate, usually at the back of the dishwasher.

  • Remove the drain grate by either popping the grate out, or by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. Different types of dishwashers will have different options.

  • Use the soapy water and the toothbrush or scrub brush to clean inside the drain area and the grate.

  • Rinse the drain area with clean water. Then replace the drain grate.

  • Pour ½ cup of salt, 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of vinegar into the drain (in that order). The mixture will bubble. This will clean the drain and the drain hose.

  • Wait until the vinegar/baking soda mixture has stopped bubbling. Then pour 1 cup of bleach into your detergent dispenser. Replace the dish racks and run the empty dishwasher on a regular cycle. This will clean the entire machine

  • If this does not solve the issue your drain hose may be plugged or crimped and lastly your pump may be failing.

    Taking too long to drain

if it is taking to long to drain then this is a sign that something is plugging up the drain line.
remove the drain plug and clean the drain screen -- this will be right next to the pump body.
as soon as it is clear, the machine should be draining great.
if you are still having troubles after you clean the drain line -- then there could be a problem with the drain pump and it might need to be replaced,,,, but clean the line first as this is the most common problem.

My mom's window a/c is shooting drops of water with the cool air. Any suggestions?

The drain hole is clogged causing water to back up into the blower compartment.

The drain pan (at the evaporator coil) needs to be cleaned, then clean the drain itself. Then if there is a secondary drain in the metal cabinet of the unit to the outside, ensure that is clean as well.

When the drain is draining properly your problem should be solved.
