Question about Samsung SyncMaster 753S 17" CRT Monitor

1 Answer

Display flashes when its turned ON the display just flash or maybe flicker (depending on how you may call it). when i turn up the SCREEN knob on the flyback the picture brightens up and i immediately turn it down to avoid a 'shut down', a point when the monitor overloads with brightness then turns off. whenever i turn up the SCREEN knob and turn it down fast only then i will get a display. a not so good a display because when i open a window (my documents or my computer) it bulges at the middle so i don't get a really rectangular window but a fat one. it's technical. can anyone help?

I bought a new Dell Pc and I keep getting flashes in the upper left hand corner. How do I get rid of this? Thanks

When you say flashes, is it like portion of the screen flickers?

If the flickering/flashes starts in Dell screen just right after turning on the laptop, when you see the Windows logo or just right after you log in to windows?

Try connecting your laptop to an external monitor then toggle display. To toggle the display to external monitor you can try holding down keys such as the function keys.

If the problem persist from the external monitor it means the problem is the motherboard or the video/graphics card.

If no problem from the external monitor this means laptop LCD and LCD cable needs to be replaced.

    Hope this helps.
