Question about Cell Phones

2 Answers

My htc dash battery ran out of juice and turned off like normal.I charged it for an hour and pressed the power button, but it will not start. No sign of life what so ever. I don't want to do a hard reset and loose all my contacts and pictures and a soft reset doesn't do anything to help. I was hoping someone would be able to help me. My phone was working fine before this happened. is there another way to turn on my phone? maybe my power button is defective. Is there a way to turn on the phone if I open it up? Please help!! It would be so appreciated.

I also thought it could be a bad battery, but if this was the case.. wouldn't my phone turn on while it was plugged into the charger?

Hello, from the above stated information,it is obvious your phone is suffering from a bad battery,so the only advice i will give you is just for you to get another battery and this will automatically put your htc phone in it's initial form.and if you feel you need to get some datas out of the phone,i will advice you visit a friend of yours, who is using the same kind of phone to get his/her battery to power yours, you can as well get a DC ADAPTER TO TEST YOUR HTC PHONE BATTERY to see if the battery is in good should be about 1200-1400 mAh,
wish you good luck,

hello,if the battery is bad, even when plugged to the phone,it will not power it on.
so therefore,a battery replacement is required.

    wish you good luck,

    take care.

My new Asus memo hd 7 will not turn on whatsoever. I have tried charging it thinking that it just ran out of juice and it won't turn on when I try to turn it on using any methods described in the user...

Remove the rear cover...use your fingernails, or something thin and plastic (like a guitar pick) to get it started, then work your way around unsnapping it until it is off. Now unplug the battery, the battery connector pulls up towards you to unplug, it snaps in. Now, you have to put the rear cover back on..because as you will notice there is foil on it, and pins on the board that ground through that foil. After the cover is back and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so to completely discharge the energy from the board. pop the back cover off, plug the battery back in, put the cover back on...and plug the tablet in. Now when you push the power button you should see a battery charging icon...let the tablet charge for an hour or so...then boot it up if you would like, but let it charge to 100% before unplugging. Good luck!!

Htc wont turn on and 3 lights are blinking on the bottom front..

Ok this happens when kill your battery..............Turn phone off and let it charge for a long time (maybe 20 mins to an hour) then power on with a long press of the power button, wait a bit as this process can take a while.
It may be that the battery will never come good again in which case you will need to replace it.
Also the one X does have a hard reset, hold the power button til the lights at the bottom start flashing, then keep holding til they go off. Then, let go of the button. If it's not broken, it will turn on and boot normally.
NOTE: When charging via USB it is possible to use more load than the USB port can supply, if this happens your phone will never charge.
To be sure Turn Phone Completly off and charge via a wall socket..

I connect the charger of my htc hero. at first it was charging. after an hour i noticed that it stopped from charging. when i turned on my phone it didn,t open.

Open the back cover , take the battery out . Press and hold the power button without the battery . Put the battery back in . Try to power it on .
If that doesnt work try below steps , ( note : you will loose your data )
Power the device OFF. Press and hold the HOME and Back Arrow buttons. While holding these buttons, press the End Call button once. Release the Home and Back Arrow buttons and press the Trackball to execute the Hard Reset. The device will reboot once the process is complete.
Thumps for my solution if it works .

My htc evo hasn't turn on for three days what should i do?

If you have tried normal power cycles, and have pulled the battery and tried again to no avail, it may be a good idea to talk to your service provider. If you are getting any screen light at all (meaning the phone may try to boot up but cannot), you may want to try a master reset:
  1. Turn the power off. If your HTC EVO 4G is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
  2. Hold the Volume Down button
  3. Press and release the Power button
  4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
  5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
  6. Press and release the Power button
  7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

HTC S710 Smartphone not switching on

The battery is flat.
If the battery is very flat sometimes the phone will not start charging or turn on even when a power cable is connected.

This worked for me:
- Remove battery
- Insert power cable/usb cable
- Orange charge light should start flashing
- Re-insert battery
- Leave phone charge for a couple of hours
- Turn on

Sanyo 8125 battery issues

Red means no juice obviously, try letting the phone charge for a while to at least the yellow light. If the problem persists, understand that wear and tear on these phones will often times wear out the buttons on the side of it, or there could be another underlying issue I'm not understanding, but when my phone started acting up with the power button, I took it to the dealership that sold me the phone and had them replace it under factory warranty. If you're not feeling ambitious enough to do that, just press the button harder next time.

Please help, I can't turn on my HTC. What happened?

If you have a charged battery insert it and power the phone. If it hangs or whatever then (with the phone powered on, regardless of what's been displayed) keep on the keypad the two dashes ( - ) pressed and do a reset with the stylus. Do not leave the two buttons untill a black screen appears and ask you to press send (the green call button). Press it and you are done. If your phone doesn't have a hardware damage it should start. It will start from scratch again so you might be a bit patience.
