Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer
My hot water heater is not heating up the water. I have checked the breaker and don't have a clue as to what to do next. I also pushed the red reset button.
There are 2 checks for the heating elements:
#1 Check the voltage to element ( Black to ground, and red to either terminal of the element.
#2 Check resistance across the element. First turn the power off to the Water Heater, remove wires from element, then measure resistance across element. A good element could read anywhere from 9 K Ohms to 13 K Ohms depending on the voltage of the element. A bad resistance reading would be an infinite reading, or 0 Ohms.
If your elements check good, you might replace the thermastat
