Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer
My hot water heater is not heating up the water. I have checked the breaker and don't have a clue as to what to do next. I also pushed the red reset button.
There are 2 checks for the heating elements:
#1 Check the voltage to element ( Black to ground, and red to either terminal of the element.
#2 Check resistance across the element. First turn the power off to the Water Heater, remove wires from element, then measure resistance across element. A good element could read anywhere from 9 K Ohms to 13 K Ohms depending on the voltage of the element. A bad resistance reading would be an infinite reading, or 0 Ohms.
If your elements check good, you might replace the thermastat

(1)Have the unit check for electric voltage to the element
If voltage going to the element and no heating
(2)Your heating element may be defective.
(3) Have it replace by qualified personel
