Does your card reader support SDHC cards? These are cards greater than 2 gigabyte. If you laptop is a few years old it probably doesn't.

There is a chance it could be a software, but most likely you will need to buy a card reader.

How do I upload pictures from my Samsung Strive onto my Gateway laptop comuter.

1. Purchase a micro-SD card with an adapter for a normal-sized SD card.2. Plug in the micro-SD card to the back of the phone. Make sure the power is off when you do this, of you could unintentionally harm your phone.3. Power back on, and transfer the pictures to the micro-SD card.4. Shut the phone back off and remove the card again. Place it into the adapter.
If your Gateway laptop has a SD card reader:
5. Put the adapter into there.6. Transfer the pictures to you computer. Done!
If your laptop doesn't have a SD card reader:
5. You'll need to purchase a second adapter that adapts the regular-sized SD card to a USB port.6. Following the manufacturer's instructions, put the SD card into the second adapter.7. Transfer the pictures to your computer. Done!

When putting music or pictures on pny 4gb mirco sd card from my hp pavillion dv7-1247d lap top than put card in my samsung sch-r451c phone it shows up on memory but can not see or play music. yes I first...

I dont have a solution, but my aunt purchased this phone and a new SD card, and I have put pictures and music for ringtones from my computer to the SD Card, and when I put it back into her phone (Samsung R451C) I can not bring any of the pictures up and I can bring the music for the ringtones, but I cannot set it as a ringtone. I am sure if I was able to bring the pictures up, that I probably would not be able to set them as a wallpaper or nothing also...So I kind of have the same problem with setting my aunt's pictures and music with the same phone too...

Sim card slot on my toshiba satellite will not upload pictures

Check the card with another computer or using the camorra with card inserted.
This lets us know the card is working and will store information.
If the card checks ok, then go to the Laptop and look in the device manager for flags, while camorra is hooked up and turned on.
If you find flags, remove them and reload drivers.

My laptop does not realize i have inserted my SD card.

Try restarting your computer before putting the card in. If it doesn't how up after a restart when you are in My Computer try hitting F5 on your keyboard to manually refresh the screen. It's possible there could be dust in the card slot but the connections are usually self cleaning. If this doesn't help try the card in another computer or if you can hook the camera directly to the computer eith the appropriate cord.

My toshiba laptop doesnt read SDHC card

sdhc cards are not backwards compatible with sd card slots. sd cards however are backwards compatible with sdhc card slots. newer card slots and readers are sdhc and sd ready but i'm afraid your only option is to buy a usb sdhc card reader. normally the 52 in 1 readers and ones like that work well and really don't cost a lot on ebay. the only other thing you could try is to put the sdhc card in an sdhc device (such as a camera) and link it up to the laptop that way.

Toshiba won't read my SD Card

Reinstall your 'flash media' drivers (usually available from manufacturers website). It worked on my satellite p200 series running vista home premium 32.
