Question about Whirlpool ACQ128 Air Conditioner
Air conditione is two years old, put it in window, plugged it in, no power to the unit, tried the remote with new batteries, didn't work. checked outlet to make sure power was coming through, worked with a light, but not for air conditioner. is there a fuse that could have blown? (by the way, unit is stored in unheated garage for winter, but temps weren't all that low this past winter - other whirlpool units we bought work, stored in same place)
This will sound really crazy, but check to make sure that a little furry critter with beady eyes called a field mouse did not get in their and make it his home or worse yet his bathroom or decide to make a meal of the wires...
To find thid out youwill need to take the unit out of the chasis and then start opening up all the little boxes with wires that you can find...
You will probably know the problem when you find it... if there is no damage like that then check the t-stat...it may have lost the bulb charge and will not bring on the unit...
