Question about Dacor ECS127SCH Stainless steel Electric Single Oven

Open Question

I have Dacor ECS127 Stainless steel wall oven and one of the two halogen lamps burnt out. The other one was still working well. I replaced the burnt one (but with 20Watts) - recommended is 10Watts. And now both will not work. I replace the 20Watt one with 10Watts (both are now 10 Watts). The relay clicks when light switch is pressed but does no lights come on. I opened the switch panel and also tried to check the board for any fuse but could not find any. Can you please help. Razak

SOURCE: My DACOR + ECS 130 covection oven light relay keeps clicking.....

Change your touch pad. The light maintains last condition if you unplug the touch pad while on or off. The touch pad appears to have alot of trouble with respect to the other functions as well. Beware the part#s provided by Dacor do not always match what they installed on their products. Verify the style before purchasing.

SOURCE: Dacor ECS130SCH - Both oven

If you read 0.5V with light on, then there must be something wrong, this bulbs are 12VAC.

By the way, the original part Dacor OEM 86364 is still available on the Internet, and it is cheaper than 86573. Here the part:

Ebay seller, 10 bulbs for $7.

Q10T3/CL-12V $0.41 10W 12V Replacement Lamp Light Bulb IN-STOCK

If you are not sure if a bulb has blown or not, and if the filamet does not look broken you can test the bulb using your multimeter, if the bulb reads infinity (open), then the bulb has blown.

Let me know if this solves your problem, in that case please do not forget to accept the solution.

I purchase parts from an appliance parts supply. You could also purchase elements let's say from a Home Depot. You can buy used parts from area used appliance stores. Nowadays you can purchase almost anything on-line.

My dacor microwave convection oven won't turn or heat but but the exhaust, time etc. works.

I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

Sounds like you have a need for a circuit board. First, disconnect power for a few minutes and re-power. If that doesn't fix it, get a new board. Turn off power before working on your unit.

Should not be a problem. Be aware that these units cook more quickly...and they pull out moisture differently from the food and some of it hits colder parts of the oven...condensation. If all else seems well, you're okay.
