To confirm the issue is with on board malfunction or HDMI port, i recommend you to connect an external display using VGA port. if the display is fine then the issue is with the HDMI port, else with the graphic card, contact the manufacturer for further options.

At 7 years old your TV needs to be replaced. To repair a TV this old would cost as much as a new one and not give you as good a picture. If you can't afford a new TV look at refurbished models.

Your probably having what cable guys call a SNR ( signal to noise ) issue. There's no way to know unless you call your cable provider. The SNR should be 32 and above with zero pre/post errors. In case you want to ask the tech what they are.

I have a 32in flat screen TV. It's by Sceptre and It's only six years old. The problem im having is that I have to unplug it and then plug back in. I do this approxi four times before it's on all the...

Sounds like a worn out power relay, or a bad capacitor that is keeping the power supply from powering on first try. The thing with Sceptre products is that they don't tend to last too long... six years isn't that bad! Might want to look into replacing it. At this point a 32" TV can be had for less than 300$. It would likely not be worth trying to fix the thing, that is, unless you know how to do it yourself! :3

Green solarization effect in picture - Sharp LCD TV

I have had the same problem this week on my Sharp 32" LCD TV. I'm told that it is a 'contact' problem that Sharp are aware of. A screw has been modified to correct this. My TV was repaired on-site & took about 15 minutes to replace the faulty part. I have an extended warrenty (thankfully) so can't give you a price for the repair - sorry. Best of luck

LG 42 LCD no sound or picture

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.
