The injectors need to be tested for pulses between the two wires (not to ground or +12) with the engine turning. With it still, you will get almost the same reading (only noticeable if you use a meer) from both wires since the injector has a coil of wire between the two terminals. The electronics may float between ground or +12 on the wires depending if they are powered up or not.
Do you have the appropriate pressure at the fuel rail? A V6 takes a lot more pressure than the 4 cylinder cars.
Try the fuel pump relay, and if you know for a fact that you fuel pump is functioning ok replace the fuel filter seeing there is no gas going to the injectors. Other that that I think it might be you fuel pump.
1) Running fuel pump to remove water from tank will likely not empty it all, but it might help. Will still be some liquid in bottom of tank.
2) More than likely, the gas has gummed up and is no good, While your draining of the tank will help, may still need to change the fuel filter and clean the injectors. The ability to keep engine running while pouring into the intake is a good sign, but mayfind that more parts need to be cleaned and replaced prior to solving the problem.
I hate too tell you this But, It IS The Fuel Pump if you can Start it By pouring Fuel into the Bowl. Please Rate my response, I need all the help that I can get! Thanks!
first disconnect the fuel pump and run the car till the fuel system is emptied--you will spill gas everywhere if you dont. 4 cyl engine has the filter in front of the air cleaner--two bolts 1 set attached to the filter and 2 on the fuel line--CAREFULLY loosen these bolts and a clamp on the filter--replace. 6 cyl. follow fuel system procedure, fuel filter located under car by rear passenger tire--its easier if you can raise the car and remove the rear wheel--follow safety procedures to do this. two bolts on filter and 2 on the fuel line and a clamp for the filter screwed into the bottom of the car. care must be exercised when removing the nuts on the fuel line use the proper wrench and have a pan to collect the gasoline that will come out. exercise care with the open fuel system to prevent accidents--just dont want to see anyone hurt
does the new fuel pump run?
