Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
My unit will not work while setting straight up or lieing down. While it is lieing down I have to set two game case under the unit and elevate it or it will go to the browser or config screen. Used to load games everytime. Now it is hit and miss. Will work after alot of ejects and power off and on.
The fatboy systems have 2 spindles that hold your disk in place so that the laser can read it. If you have a fatboy than the problem is probably one of the spindles is off balance which will make your disk spin off balance.
The slimlines have 3 balls that you click the disk into it. If you have a slimline then you probably have a ball loose. If it is the newer slimline it isnt a ball but a small plastic piece.
If you are savvy with fixing things then you could find the replacement pieces on ebay. If not you will need to trade in or buy a new system.
