Question about Akai DC6371 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have an Akai digital camera model DC6371. On start up the lens pops out and screen lights up, but then the screen closes down and (often) the lens remains out even when the camera has been turned off. On trying to operate it again today, the green light indicates the camera is on for a few seconds and the screen lights up momentarily, but the lens doesn't pop out and the camera closes down again.

Looks like you have the notorious lens stuck problem. Since you said it pops out occasionally but does not go in, it is probably a faulty motor or some kind of mechanical obstruction. A qualified camera should be able to fix this for you but I recommend that you get a quote first as this repair is usually not cost effective more so if the lens mechanism has to be replaced.

I have an Akai DC6371 digital camera and the card I have in it is a Kodak 128mb SD card. However, the camera will only let me save 4 pics to the SD card. I tried putting a different card in it that's...

Hi I can tell that sometime you have to format within computer using external memory card reader, not from camera. It is not recommend switching around one sd card to another camera. It cause card error. If you want to use it, then you have to save pictures somewhere in other storage or computer, and format the one you want to use in computer using external memory card reader. And then one more time format in camera (you have to insert memory card into camera) These method very helpful on like your problem. If not working, then you have either camera defective or memory defective. Thanks and best regard!

Put new batteries but the screen won't stay on

Sounds like the camera cant hold charge or your settings have changed. Try different batteries then look for a reset button on the camera see if that works.!!!

How to factory reset akai ds8341 camera. I see garbled images on the 2.5 inch lcd monitor

Two ways... 1. Go into the camera menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. 2.Remove the card and all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

I can't find a replacement battery for my DS8341 Akai camera

The battery part number is: 02491-0045-00 This battery also fits certain models of Rollei cameras. Perhaps the easiest way is to go to E-Bay and under search (all categories) type in DP8300. This search will bring up a few models of Rollei cameras and batteries for sale. This is the battery you need for your Akai DS8341.
