The only way to fix this red lines is to replace the convergence ICs.
The ICs part markings are STK392-110, located just under the CRT's mounted on heatsinks, you will see them as soon you open the back cover.
If you have basic hand soldering skills, this is something you could do yourself.
I fixed one TV today with the same failure and same model.
Let me know if you need more assistance.

Changed crt coolant, better picture. red squiggily line starting at top center of screen, runs about a third of the way down. thought i saw scratch or small crack in green crt "c" lens. would this cau

Sounds like you may have just left one of the wires loose from the red tube. Not likely an issue from the gren tube but you can always cover the top of the lens and let just green shine up. That may help narrow it down also.

Here is more detailed info for you also.....

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement coolant, step by step instructions, support, etc.

Why does my tv have one blue, one red and one green line at the top of the screen but no picture?

The CRT inside the TV has gone bad. You can either find the make and model of the CRT and replace it, or get rid of the tv and buy another one.

Rainbow lines in my projection tv

You have convergence problems. The convergence IC's that line up the red, green and blue crt's are bad. They will need to be replaced. Suggest a qualified tech do the work due to the complexity and alignments afterward
