Question about Gigabyte GA-MA790GPT-UD3H, Socket AM3, Dual DDR3-1666, AMD 790GX+SB750, HT 3.0, Onboard Radeon HD330... Motherboard
My computer (home assembled) worked flawlessly for three months. Now, if I leave it alone long enough, it goes to sleep (not supposed to, I set it to always be on (due to this problem)) When it does, I cannot get it to be shaken out of this sleep. the screen is black - no responses.
This happens if i shut it down normally, or when (previously) the timer would set it to hibernate, shut down or sleep. the only thing that seems to get it out of this coma is leaving it unplugged completely for several hours. This method of recovering normal function has been becoming less and less reliable as time goes on.
upon starting the computer from an unplugged or shut-down state, I know amost immediately that it will not turn on because of a long, jittery beep, rather than the ''healthy'' single, quick beep that denotes success
