Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Toshiba Equium A300D - 13X laptop which I purchased in November 2008 as new. My problem is that when I switch it on I have a black screen but I can see that its working only in certain light. Its almost as if the brightness has been turned right down. Ive tried Fn + F5 and also tried to increase the brightness but to no avail. What is the problem, how do I rectify it and what part do I need. Many thanks.
Hi. try accessing the Start-up BIOS features by pressing F2 or Delete key when you see the Toshiba logo. Check for the Tab that will give you the control for the brightness/contrast of the screen. If that doesn't do anything then most probably the backlight (LED or CFL) must have been busted. and needs replacement.
