Sorry Barbara but it is impossible to give you a solution on here, there could be any amount of reasons why your machine will not sew, it needs looking at by a sewing machine tech or someone with a similiar machine.
Only other thing I can suggest, if it is a new machine you should have a user manual, very carefully and slowly start at the front of the manual and work carefully through everything step by step.
Best of luck
Rob

I have a Finesse new home 23 4 overlocker. How do I start the threading please.

A manual would be helpful:

Instruction Manual Janome Newhome 234

Even if you are unable to find a manual for your particular model, similar models usually thread the same or similarly. Just be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine so the thread will seat in the tension disks.

Why the thread cracked with when i sticked with the machine

Thread breakage could occur for several reasons.

First, try a brand new needle.

Second, use only good quality thread--NOT old thread or bargain bin varieties.

Third, when threading the upper thread, be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot throughout the threading process.

Verify that the thread path is correct (consult the owner's manual). Incorrect threading will usually break the thread.

Check that the upper thread tension is set at the midway point between the high & low numbers.

I am having issues with threading my machine. I have followed the instructions but every time I sew on the machine the thread on the top sews correctly but underneath the cotton gathers up. What am I doing...

If the thread is bunching under the material it is the top tension. While threading the machine be sure the foot is in the up position until you are done threading it. If you have tried that and it still bunches you need to tighten the tension a bit at a time until it starts sewing correctly. Be sure you are starting with a clean machine and that the thread is not too large for the needle ....

hope this helps.

Borrow sewing machine from sister unsure how to thread it correctly and when i do the thread fromthe needle keeps breaking when i try to sew its a brother XL-5130 sewing machine and i know nothing on how...

you need to go to this webpage http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us_ot/en/doc/manual_index.html?reg=us&c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=hf_xl5130eus&dlid=&flang=English&type2=-1 and download the instruction manual for this model. It has the threading up instructions plus selecting stitches, winding a bobbin etc.

The thread breaking is most likely due to incorrect threading up of the top thread. I suggest that if you can, you print out the manual, put into a little folder and place beside the machine and refer to it often. Follow the instructions in it on winding a bobbin, putting it into the bobbin case correctly and threading up the top thread. Make sure the bobbin goes into the case the correct way, as per image.
tally_girl_40.jpg
Remember, ALWAYS THREAD UP TOP THREAD WITH THE PRESSURE FOOT RAISED, this keeps the tension discs open so the thread can seat into the tension device correctly. And you must get the bobbin thread into the tension spring fully and then place the bobbin case into the shuttle using the little latch so it stays in place.

Also, new needle for every new project, and put the needle in "flat shank to the back". It will take standard domestic sewing machine needles 705/130H but it is important to select the correct sized needle for the fabric you are sewing so that the needle can penetrate the fabric but not leave big holes. So for light weights like chiffon you want a size 60 or 70. For medium weights a size 80 and for heavy fabric like denim or a coat weight wool you would use size 100. Ball points for stretch fabrics so that the needle pushes between the fibres and a regular point for woven fabrics.

I trust this helps you out, 4 thumbs up if so. Thank you.

Bobbin thread not feeding into the upper needle thread

completely unthread the machine....ensure the needle piston shaft is in the correct position and retread the upper. reinstall the bobbin and turn the machine by hand to engage the bobbin thread. Draw the bobbin thread through the stitch plate and with the needle thread, allow to trail off the back. attempt to sew a piece of scap material.

please let me know what happens at this point.

Threading a sewing machine

What do you mean you are unable to pull the bobbin thread through, elaboration would help solve the problem...
I suspect I'm having the same problem with you if it's anything to do with the top thread looping around in the bobbin holder.

Damn machine!

Bobbin help please!

Take out the raceway and check for broken threads/lint. Unthread the machine and put in a new needle taking care to insert it correctly. It may be that the needle is slightly bent. Put everything back carefully and check it is running smoothly with NO THREAD first(no bobbin thread either-use an empty bobbin). This will prove there is nothing catching. If it catches when you thread it then you are having a problem with incorrect threading.
