Need to get Rusted NUT off Armature of Electric Mower from Hell.

I am trying to get the rusted on nut off of the blade on a Craftsman Electric lawnmower, 900370510. It turns with the armature. So, the square plastic washer spins under the square metal washer with the nut that is rusted on the motor.
I've used CRC, wrenches, 2x4's to brace it, propane & a little mapp gas. Problem is, the whole thing has plastic parts which will break if you chock it. It looks like the mower has quite a few years on it.
PS, it is a LH thread, @#$%!

Would someone tell me the golden answer? I don't want to buy the lady a new motor.

Thank you

I find that nut splitter work ok on occasion if you can get one in there, and just replace the nut(sounds like that's going to happen anyways regardless) , or pick it up, set the nut on a solid piece of steel, so that it's supporting the weight of everything, and hit the other side of the nut with a hammer, or a hammer and chisel, with the chisel perpendicular to the shaft and the blade splitting it the long way. Other tricks, are to heat it up red-hot, and hit it with water immediately, or even canned air inverted(will freeze it instantly) in order to get the surfaces to change enough to break loose. Hope these helped; they've been standbys for me for years.

How to remove a stuck bolt on blades on riding mower.

The blade bolt can be very difficult to remove sometimes and will require an impact wrench. If that doesn't work, you will need to heat up the nut only with a Ox/Acetylene torch, then it will remove easily. Do not heat the nut too much or it will ruin the thread on the spindle when it comes off. Remember to heat the nut only.

Cannot get the blade off of this lawn mower

The blade retaining nut or bolt is usually reverse threaded. If it's rusted on there pretty good you might try soaking the fastener with PB Blaster for a few hours. Wedge a block of wood between the blade and the mower deck, then while grasping the blade with a gloved hand push the blade and the socket wrench towards each other so you aren't fighting the blade spinning around.

Exhaust front pipe nuts rusted on

Try using a size 10 metric thin walled socket drive to fit nut with a little force. Use plenty of WD-40, soak the nut and stud. Try to turn nut for 1/8 turn forward, spray WD-40 then turn bolt back until it feels that it is stuck, turn nut 1/2 turn forward, spray WD-40 and try again to unbolt, everytime it feels it is stuck move nut forward, spray WD-40 then try again to unbolt. It is a slow process as it to prevent stripping the rusted nut and stud. Have fun.

HOW TO TIGHTEN MOWER BLADE NUT

check out www.toolpartsdirect.com for parts diagram for proper installation. the 2 last step is the square metal washer then the nut. to install the metal washer the match the shaft guide. if still can't tighten the nut then the problem is the armature ring may drop down.

I need to change the blade, but am unable to loosen the nut holding the blade in place. the nut and square spacer underneath move together.

you need impact gun.air or electric operated impact, run it reverse. it shouldn't be loose like that. i am guessing the armature drop could be the ring is out of the armature groove. ring are located inside the motor assy.

Blade assembly does not tighten

problem could be the armature ring/ drop. it's for the bearing stopper. if the ring slip off from the grove, all you to do is to put it back to the grove & make sure that the grove are in good shape..its common problem for older armature type.
