Question about Garden

Cub Cadet LT1050 lawn tractor won't turn over and start. Starter motor does turn, but flywheel doesn't turn very fast, and stalls each revolution at the top of the compression stroke. I can turn the flywheel past this point with my hand on the flywheel screen, although it is difficult. I first thought "low battery" but I jumped the tractor with a deep cycle marine battery and although i get very bright lights and good spark on the engine ground, the starter motor still won't turn the flywheel past the high compression spot of the rotation. I'm guessing the starter motor isn't generating enough torque, but I don't know how to test for that. It does turn when hooked directly to the jumper battery. I'm not brave enough to try to stall it with my hand. Any ideas on how to diagnose this?

I would take the starter off and go to Autozone, or a small motor shop and have them test it.

Engine starter spins and will not start motor somethines.

Remove the engine cover to expose the starter motor (or take the starter off). Lubricate the starter bendix, its the gear atop the starter motor shaft, use Marvel Mystery oil and then work the bendix a bit and it should fix it. If the teeth on the bendix or flywheel are damaged obviously that is where the problem lies.

Looking for the sensor schematics for a cub cadet series 1000, LT1050 hydrostatic lawn tractor. anyone help me?

Try looking at the directional lever at the Transmission. The PTO for the deck will shut off when shifting into reverse. You may have to simply disconnect or jumper the reverse switch depending on if it is normally closed or normally open. Try it both ways to see what works. Also check the engine oil level, The low oil level switch will shut the engine down if more than a quart low.

I have a 2006 cub cadet LT1050 lawn tractor with a Kohler SV720 engine. It will not turn over, I put a 200 amp jump on starter barely turns over, took plugs out turns over good. thought maybe exhaust valve...

Check oil level. If needle/float in carb stick gas can trickle down into crankcase and cause a condition like you listed. I would also check valve lash. If all these are good, check all grounds and connections, grounds, starter, solenoid. Clean all contacts with wire brush or emery cloth, could be electrical. Good luck and happy wrenching!

Cub Cadet SRC 621, won't start. New spark plug, cleaned carburetor and air filter, Whiffs of smoke occasionally

Sounds like a sheer flywheel key. Common on the SRC 621. Kawasaki motor, correct. The flywheel key is under the recoil. Pull the flywheel and check the key. A very small key is there. Breaks and puts the engine out of time

Cub Cadet LT1050-Replaced the solenoid, had starter checked out-it's good, battery has full charge, but mower won't start. Help!!

You need to check that there is a 12volt supply from the low tention wire at the solinoid when the key is turned, if there is not either the switch is bad, or the wire from the switch is bad, or the fuse has blown.

I HAVE A CUB CADET LT1050 LAWN TRACTOR AND WHEN I TURN THE KEY I GET ONE SINGLE CLICK. THE STARTER DOESN'T ENGAGE

Hi camy wils815...
Sounds like you have a faulty solinoid.
Make sure your battery has a full charge, the by-pass the starter solinoid on the engine.
To do this ground one big wire connection to one of the small wire connectors (with the wires still hooked up) and if it starts, then replace the solinoid...if it does nothing, replace the solinoid.
Please take time to rate me

Sounds like your going to need a new starter. They're not to much you should be able to buy one at your local lawn and garden store, and they're very easy to replace.
