Acceleration sluggish

I think it sounds like a transmission issue..take it into a shop for a diagnosis and see what they tell seems like there may be an internal hydraulic issue with it..when some of these transmissions are constructed out of aluminum for weight saving, this metal is porous on the surface unless it has been machined or tooled..these small cracks and crevises within the case will rob the system of hydraulic pressure created by the pump to make the gears work.. also see if the fluid it has is conaminated with dirt or shavings..this causes the seal units to leak internally and subsequent pressure loss to..may do a fluid and filter change and see if things clear up..some models wont allow this as it does a washout and ruins the warned..if this is the case with your model..dont do it.. have a technician look it over..its worth the money...please repost findings..

Discovery 3 MY09 TDV6 front end whine under load acceleration

When you say whine does it only occur under acceleration only? If so most likely the wheel hub assembly or some will say wheel bearing but on these vehicles it is complete hub assembly. If you turn or swerve one way then the other does it go away in one direction? If so another strong indication of hub wearing out. If not, and it is a really high whine with acceleration it is also possibly the transmission. I have heard of this complaint before, it's not a sign of failure just a noise that develops due to the pressure placed on bearing under a load. First change fluid and filter for tranny after a good flushing. Replace with high quality fluid and a bottle of transmission seal restore product. Go 1000 miles, change fluid again, if noise is still there turn up radio.
Sorry but just a whine under acceleration isn't a lot to go on. But I'm willing to bet wheel hub. 9 out of ten front end whine complaints is wheel hub or bearing especially on a heavy 4x4 suv

1993 civic bogs when acceleratoring

I'd replace the fuel filter. It's easiest if you use a toggle joint adapter with your socket and ratchet.

1998 navigator stuck in park

most likely your shift selector cable is broken somewhere. the other cause could be broken part in transmission but most likely broken linkage.
