The instructions that come with this cable are sketchy. If you have the battery undere the hood, it will be easier to remove the battery box as well. I start here and feed the new cable as I remove the old one.

Unit will not run after about an hour until tank is drained -if a container is placed under the unit with plug out the unit will run like. An awful lot of water seems to come out of the unit.

Thing to remember about an Air Conditioner is it is transferring heat, so if you are in a hot humid enviroment you are going to condense more water, which will fill the tank up quicker.

If the tank has a spot to connect a hose to the tank, and you have a drain nearby, might be worth hooking a hose up.

a thought anyways on a fix

But the water is normal

Hyundai sonata air conditioner trouble shooting

Most often this means the freon has gone down. You can add it yourself a lot cheaper if you are a little mechanically inclined by just buying a can of freon with a built-in gauge at Walmart or auto parts stores. Follow instructions on the can but be patient. It takes 10 to 30 minutes to add all of it. Or, a mechanic can do it. He will charge at least 40 to 80 bucks. If you or a mechanically inclined friend do it, less than $20.

310-8 transmission won't pull

Possible. Could be the differential. I don't know a lot about this transmission but I found a schematic that show the differential and keys. Since you have the case split, I am assuming you are mechanically inclined so I would recommend disassembling it the rest of the way and check everything. Here is the link to the schematic I found on line. Good luck....

I need to replace my heater core in a 1987 GMC Sierra 5.7 liter step by step as I am not that mechanically inclined From a female Thankyou

here is an honest answer, this is not a job for someone who is not 'mechanically inclined'. It is very difficult to do, very difficult to reach and it has a lot of components that will need to be disassembled to even get it out. best thing to do is bypass it (it's warmer weather now) by taking the hoses off the core as they enter the firewall, and joining them with some kind of pipe/adapter. You will not have heat (for now) and you can figure out a way to get it replaced in the next 6 months and still drive it without antifreeze on your passenger side floor. I have been working on cars for over 25 years, some of the most brutal jobs I have ever done were heater cores, trust me.

I have a Tanberg 6000x. Rarely used, in seemingly mint condition. Only problem is that the two tape reels seem to move in opposing directions. I don't have a clue.

The old Tandberg's are good reel to reel recorders. Unfortunately, that joystick drive mechanism is very complex under the hood. It pushes different levers and such to apply the right combination for whatever mode you select. If you're somewhat mechanically inclined, try sliding the deck out of its case. Move the joystick to see what's being pushed where. That may show you something slipped out or broken. If not, you may have to power it up and watch the difference between play and fast forward. Both should make the takeup spool (right side) rotate CCW. You may be able to see the difference and move or tighten something up. If its not that obvious or you are not so inclined, you may have to search out a person to repair it who knows the Tandberg. They are somewhat unusual beasts (the deck not the techs) so you need someone who knows that joystick mechanism - Tandberg used it a lot but they were about the only one.

Platinum Plus home gym disassembly / assembly instructions req'd

There is really no easy way, there is only one way as with bolts and removing the cables. I would recommend taking a lot of digital photos of the GYM so you will know what its supposed to look like when putting back togethere. You can also mark the bolts and around area they go in with a marker (use different colors) before you remove them, will aid in reassembly if your not too mechanically inclined.

It's the only place that I can find information for your machine. This company apparently does not offer much in the way of support. There is a link at the bottom of the page where you can contact them for support, but from what I have read about them, you won't get very far.

Sound like you are recycling the same filthy water over and over again. Your dishes will likely become progressively more and more filthy.

One likely problem is that debris has clogged the small drain ports.

Most Maytag D/Ws rely on a garburator to chop debris small enough to fit through these small ports. Unfortunately a chuck of glass or fruit pit often makes it through to clog the ports. This may cause very slow and incomplete drainage or no drainage whatsoever.

To examine these drain ports, you'll need to remove the lower rack and completely disassemble the central assembly from the top down. If you are mechanically inclined its not hard. If you are worried about proper re-assembly, then video tape the assembly as a memory aid and stack the parts and screws in careful succession.

Once you reach the steel garburator blade you only have one more plastic plate to remove. Examine both ports on the plate to ensure that there is no jam or debris. Throughout the disassembly, look for any broken glass or debris that could be jamming or clogging.

When you reassemble the unit, consider reassembling without the garburator blade. Instead, perform routine disassembly and cleaning every 3 - 6 months.
