Question about Toshiba TLP 670 Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

There's no red from my toshiba TLP670

There's no red projected by my toshiba TLP670

Have tried adjusting colour ratios, but red is black even in the menu.
Sometimes a single red dot has been projected, no bigger than that of a laser pointer.

is this a common problem? a connection error or new part needed? how much might it cost, and do you reckon its worth doing at said cost?
thanks in advance

The Toshiba TDP-MT8U is an impressive high performance projector which has the capabilities to display picture as bright as you could see it on an LCD Monitor. There could be chances of this projector having color issues when the ports on to your pc or laptop is loosely fixed or it could also be due to bulb running to an expiration. Any how try to ensure that the cable connecting to the port is good and then try to perfom an autoimage function using the remote. This should work. If this fail, its better to take the device to a depot for repair. Good Luck.

Have 57 " Toshiba projection TV there is way too much red in picture

TV has 3 CRTs, red, blue, green. Its possible that you have a bad blue or green crt. If that were the case the red would be prevalent and the pic would be reddish. The tv has a picture "level" adjustment that if done correctly could get it looking correct. Its probably best to have a tech. do it since you can make it worse if you do not know what you are doing, also there are high voltages present. Good luck

Your convergence has failed and needs to be repaired. Once quick test is to goto your convergence menu and see if you can adjust red and blue. If not its has failed and needs to be fixed. You can call in a repair shop or you can get the parts and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com and do the repair yourself. Its a fairly easy DIY fix.

Problem with the Toshiba 50H13 50 in. Rear Projection Television. Green tint

The tubes have aged and the colour balance between the tubes has shifted. You will need to redo it using a black/white test image: first the black (the cutoff point), then the white (the gain) on each tube - always start with the green colour. This is done on the final video amplifier of each tube by adjusting the corresponding semiadjustable resistors.

The colour on my TV is a reddish colour. Have tried the colour adjustment. Skin colours in particular.

simple. easy. you have 3 screen adjustments. red green blue. turn color all the way down. you should then get just a black and white picture, but in your case, it will still be reddish. behind the speaker grill is an access panel for screen adjustment. remove speaker grill. remove access panel. you will see a block assembly roughly 6 inches square with 6 knobs on it. 3 are for screen, 3 are for focus. adjust until you have a black and white picture. then go into menu and turn your color back up. enjoy!

The color red no longer works on my Toshiba 65HDX82 rear projection television. I am trying to figure out if it makes sense to repair. The rest of the TV seems to work fine.

if the tv is digital (high def) it does make sense its just a bulb most likely. if its analog it does not make sense. for a plasma or lcd with comparable picture to rear projection will be 5-6 grand and the colours will be comparable. less money will get you less than perfect colour and black levels on your set. only if your set is digital if not its a very different story if you need more help let me know i can guide into the right decision
