I made a sale on ebay and was paid into an old paypal account.

Yes you will need an ebay account separate from your PayPal account you can then link the PayPal account to the eBay account and when you sell an item it will be credited to your PayPal or PayPal card

You will need an ebay account to start. You will also need to setup either a paypal account or another method of being paid. Then the ebay on-screen pointers are fairly intuitive to help you get a sale itme listed.

1) First, hopefully you completed the whole transaction with the seller USING the actual paypal application. If you decided to buy it by just emailing the seller without paypal that is why the transaction is not there and the seller deleted his account.
Ebay does caution against doing it without using paypal.

2) If you did buy and pay for item throught paypal, it sounds like the seller deleted his account and does not want to refund your money or ship your item.

If #2 is the situation, Go to the actual transaction or Activity on your paypall account and get ALL the information you can on the sale. Item #, description, Seller information, etc.

Log into your paypal account and choose My Account
scroll to the bottom and click "contact us"
a page will open and you can either call PayPal or look in "Find Answers by Topic" and report FRAUD or Report a Problem.

try that and Ebay will be able to search their records and find this seller if it is fraudulent.

Ebay will have these batteries for sale if you are not Ebay registered you will have to create an account name which will be unique eg:Loosey7 and a password seven7 which will also be unique an email adress and a postal delivery adress
also you will need a paypal account
when you get to the paypal login page at the bottom you will see new to paypal sign up tab
paypal to create an account
paypal registration =password ,bank card /credit card,phone numbers home/mobile ,email adress and a postal adress

log onto your paypal account under profile you will see your credit/bank cards there you will see a list
Add or Edit Email
Add or Edit Bank Acc
Addor Edir Credit Card
you can prepare these details before you setup each account

Open a new account and call paypal to close the old one
before closing the old one you won't be able to use the credit card

go to www.paypal.com, type i your ebay users name and password for your paypal accouct, and you will be able to see if the fund $$$ for the bed were transferred into your account, if you can't remember your password, paypal will email it to you.
