First check your venting if all is clear it could be several things the most likely the heating element , thermal cut out, thermal fuse. Most of these parts are very inexpensive and all are easy to replace. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that can walk you thru the troubleshooting of your problem. It may be a different model but the troubleshooting will be the same. You can also get diagrams and illustrations of your specific model by entering your model #. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available. If you need help disassembling your machine there are videos of this also for most styles.

Kenmore model 90 dryer electric will dry the clothes takes a long time. Leaves the floor surrounding the dryer damp actually wet just not puddled

Are the clothes wet AND hot? If so - check the exhaust / vent hose for kinks or obstructions. That includes the cap / flap on the outside of the house.

If the clothes are wet AND cold, then the electric heating element isn't heating likely due to a broken or poor electrical connection, burned out heating element, defective thermostat, etc..

Dryer heats up but cloths stay damp

disconect dryer from electric outlet first before doing anything to it!!

check ur outside exhaust vent on the house, might be full of lint, if is ok then check the duct on the back of your dryer, might be full or lint, take an leaf blower an blow all the lint off the air duct, an also if you are handy, remove the 12 or 14 screws of the back of the dryer , take the back panel off, and on your left side u will see the air port where the hot air comes off the dryer take the aditional 4 screws an clean it
then put it back together

if you still have the problem then u have bad coils

what happens an air restriction will cause the dryer not to work properly, it will overheat an shut off. but am more sure u need coils specially if u never got em replace, maintance doesn't hurt at all......

good luck leave some feedback thanks!

Kenmore 90 series dryer leaves clothes damp. The dryer gets hot, but after almost 2 hours a large load is still damp. Happens on both auto sensing & timed dry. Checked insides & all is clear -...

Sounds like a venting problem at the house pipe.
Make sure the house venting pipe is completely clean and vent hood just outside is free of any blockages.
If all that is cleaned I would check all working thermostats and high limit thermostat as well.
GOOD LUCK!

My 700 series Kenmore Dryer wont heat completely.

If the dryer has been cleared of lint. the lint filter area is clear and the vent is fine then the timer is probably bad. Why? because a lot of current goes through the timer and most of the time the contacts in it get burred or burnt. Unless you have a bad breaker I would advise replacing the timer.

Sounds like the belt has broken. You could probably also use new drum support rollers. Check out this site which shows how to change a dryer belt:

It's not a difficult job if you're comfortable working with hand tools.
