Question about Canon PowerShot G9 Digital Camera
Likely a ccd, main board or the shutter blade got stuck. Hard to determine for sure what it is but you'll need to get it serviced either way. The place that is amazing for service on the Powershots is: camerasandparts.com All they service are powershots and they're amazing to say the least. You have what is called a no image problem and they have a service and repair package which covers the repair with parts and labor, all the service for the camera and even the shipping going back. That package is $89 total, pretty tough to beat. Their work is superb for the powershots, they know these better than anybody. Best of luck with it, that would be the place for help with that one, good luck

Since you have a Canon, I would go with www.camerasandparts.com They tend to be the best for the Canons.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
