Question about Philips FWM575 Shelf System
Our Philips unit stopped playing any of the 3 discs just a month after warranty. Unplug and restart still results in nothing. There has to be a simple solution ?
Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: shelf stereo turns off by itself and stops working all together.
how loud u cranking it? cause i've tested my stereo to its max...and it suddenly dies...reason: its juss like a small scale car stereo system...the built in AMP cant handle the out-put..

SOURCE: Fw316C cd player will not read discs
Buy A CD Lens Cleaner and put it in to the CD Player and keep retrying until the drive plays it and then follow the instructions for the CD Lens Cleaner after its finished try playing a CD if it still wont play try another disc and if it does not play that try reset the player by unplugging it for five seconds if it still wont play the CD drive has failed in the drive and you need a new stereo. Stereos dont last forever so dont be surprised if you need to buy a new one

SOURCE: I have a Philips model #FWM575/37 Cd/Tape/Radio
You may just get away with cleaning the lens of the CD player to restore it to normal, use one of the brand name makes of CD Lens Cleaners.

SOURCE: Philips mc235B/37 CD player no longers plays
if you can see the laser then gentaly with a soft cloth wipe the lens
and then try
if that doesnt work then i recoment that you call philips and see what they say because it is slightly older than one year they might replace it for free
if not call the shop that you bought it from

This is the second unit doing the same thing three weeks apart. The CD player is constantly READING CD but never finds it to start playing.
Same problem. Started almost immediately after bringing it home... should've returned it.
I have the same problem with my system; the CD player is constantly reading the disk but nothing is heard. ?????

Hi,
What error does the display report upon failure to read discs?
