Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

Pin Codes & PUK Codes ( GSM Phones)

Many cellphone users think that a PIN ( personal Identification Number) code is a security code that is related to the Phone. actually its not. PIN code is a Security code on the SIM card issues by the network Provider ( Vodafone, sprint..etc). once you have failed to access the PIN Code then it will ask you for the PIN2. if you try 3 times with a wrong password then the SIM will require a PUK1 (Pin Unlock Key) this too if entered the wrong password 3 times you will be asked to enter PUK2. if PUK2 is also wrong you SIM will Locked permanently. you have no alternative but to get a replacement SIM.

For PIN & PUK code details. you need to get in touch with your network provider.
