I have been trying to find this on line and am having some
difficulties, when I go to an audio store the young snot just acts like I'm a
dummy and try to sell me on them installing it, I am somewhat good with
electronics and positive I can do this if I have the map which shows me where
all the little prong things go in the holder and what wire connects to what
wire.

Some more info on the car is it's a 1990 Ford Escort LX Station wagon. I have the part in the diagram you gave me hooked up; but I am having some trouble figuring out what wires connect to each other.

Hi itsmekr,
Pls refer to the image below for the JVC KD-G310 wiring. Should you need the complete installation manual, it is available here (as with the instruction manual).

Perhaps if you could post back with the year model of the Ford Escort, we can also try and provide the radio wiring harness information or at least a point to.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.

the prongs go into the two holes on either side of the stereo as keys for the locks then you hook up you 12v(red) constant to the constant 12v from the car and hook up your ign. wire (red) to the ign. wire from your car(with test pen will show up when the key is turned over).. for your speakers you just have to guess or take off door panels and back panels to see which goes to which
