Question about Sony Reader Pocket PRS-300
Go to this link on from Sony e-support
mine was frozen and I could not turn it off - so I did a SOFT reset (just pressed the reset button with the end of a paperclip) with the reader ON (even though instructions say to turn off I didn't cause this was impossible to do), then slid the power button to reactivate - the yellow light came on, waited a few minutes -and it said opening book - and now all is fine
good luck, hope it works for you!!

It probably means that the battery is completely depleted. I had this happen and a recharge fixed it. See http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=C1008849&fes=true&mdl=PRS300

Take out the battery?
or just put some tape or something on the power button
