picture does not hold still when first turned on. Very wavey or jumpy. At first problem only lasted for a minute or so. Now it lasts for about 15 minutes and then it is ok. Seems to be getting progressively worse over time.

A couple of things come to mind I've seen a leaky capacitor on the regulated 9 volt line cause this and also leaky capacitors on the PIP module but I think the latter was on an older model than yours. If you don't know what these things are you should probably let a pro do it but it should be a fairly reasonable repair. Good Luck.

Your DMD mirror bracket may be loose, screws may just need tighten down or a pin may be missing in the bracket too. If it is not the bracket then you need to replace the DMD board itself.

These sets have capacitors that will go bad, but without a good ERS meater that tests these in curcuit you could be spending a lot of time doing nothing, But the most common is to find the 9 volt reg on the signal board and change all within a 2 inches of that regulator

A 22 code in Mitsubishi is a short circuit that is causing your set to go into protective shut down. Check the horizontal output and low voltage regulators for being shorted. Let me know if I can help you further, or if you need any additional info.

Black horizontal lines

Sounds as if you have a bad capacitor in the horizontal deflection or video circuitry. You can spot a bad capacitor in circuit with a ESR meter.Hope this helps.
