Question about Maxent MX-42HPM20 42 in. Plasma HDTV
There is a major problem going on with my Maxent Plasma. Red small DOTS all over the place on dark areas, to the point sometimes where you can't see anything. Forget about watching a dark movie or show. Maxent support SUCKS. I called them and left messages several times and no one picks up the phone nor does anyone call you back.
What can be done to fix this problem? Can I do it on my own or do I need service? What would something like this cost?
Two things could be causing this problem.
1. You've got dead pixels (in this case, the red dots would not move around and are in fixed to certain pixels.) If that's the case, most manufacturers offer warranty replacements, but I'm not sure about Maxent's, you'll need to go to their website, or read the warrenty information which should have come in the box.
2. You're cable/satellite receiver is acting up, try unplugging your receiver and plugging it in after 10 seconds.
