What does status code-68-cood36be mean . i have downloaded a video from my computer straight to my xbox but wont play because it said it unsupported please advise

Error C800-0036 occurs when downloading an update to your Xbox 360 console. This may mean that there's a lock on your Xbox Live account. If your Xbox 360 console has been tampered with or modified, it can no longer connect to Xbox Live, install software updates or play new games that require a console software update.

Either the video codec or the audio codec is unsupported, or one of the streams in a video file is corrupted.

It's a codec problem.
Try downloading the media pack on xbox live.

i got the same error status code: 69-807b0191 when i tried to play my videos on my new xbox from my computer through my router like i always did with my old xbox. idk if ur talking about actually putting a DVD in and the error came up or if ur in the same situation as me but if u r then go on ur computer to the video file that ur trying to play, then right click on it and click "Share..." and a new window will pop up, click the drop down menu and select "everyone (all users in this list)" ur xbox mac address should b one of the selections but just click on 'everyone'.. after that click the "share" button at the bottom and wait for it to take effect, after its done u can close the window and now go to ur xbox and it should play the file with no problems

This means that the file format you are trying to play is not supported or cannot be played by your console due to format restrictions. It means that the video has an invalid format not recognized by the console that is why it is not playing thus showing this error code.

The xbox wont play some .avi , I suggest you update your console , if that doesnt work download TVersity its a program that will stream the videos from your pc to the xbox .. I think thats your best shot

error 68 means that the xbox has insufficient power to operate. make sure it is directly plugged into the wall. try removing accessories on your xbox like intercoolers and USB devices.
