Suggest you reset all of your features to a default setting. Sometimes one little setting you modified might be causing this.
In example, if you switched your resolution to very high, super fine, and your camera does very high pixels, and you are adding flash and fireworks, that will do it.

Why does it take so long to show to the photo after I press the shutter button?

The picture displays after the file has finished saving - if the speed of your SD card is slow, it can take quite a while before the picture is displayed. It also takes a while (up to a minute or more) if the shutter speed is low and the picture is mostly black (taking nighttime moon shots for instance).
Try using a better quality (higher speed) SD card.

Why does my olympus sz30mr take ages to take a pic. Says its busy. Iso is set to -1.3 will this slow the shutter speed under low light conditions

Be aware ti takes a camera the same time to save a camera, as it needs to shoot the picture. So if you shoot at 4 seconds, it will take at least 4 seconds to save the picture. When you are shooting under normal conditions, you won't notice it, because a shot from 1/30 of a second is saved in 1/30 of a second after you shot, It becomes noticeable when you use shutter times from half a second or longer, but it is absolute normal for any digital camera.

The blue light around the power button is doing a slow blink, the pc is up and there is no picture on the monitor.

The computer is "sleeping", in power-saving mode.
Touch any key, or wiggle the mouse, to awaken it.

Or, touch the on/off button, to awaken it.

Upgraded software version to 24.1_01.19.08

Hey Simon,

Can you see if you have a large amount of texts in your "sent" folder? Even your "outbox" could take memory space.

As the memory get's full, the phone will seem to slow down. Once you clear your sent and outbox messages, you should be okay.

Also, that one text message that you saved, did it have a song or picture attached? It could be sucking up all the memory, even though it's just one text.

Hope this helps,
cHiPz.

Canon a 310 takes so long to take a second picture, very slow

I have an A310, and really like the quality of the pictures and videos it takes. But what you describe is not unusual for this particular model camera. Lag between shots in bright sunlight is usually minimal, but may be very pronounced in darker conditions. It's caused by inefficient and slow charging of the camera's flash capacitor.

There's nothing you can do to modify the design of the camera to change this. But you can try to minimize this some by using batteries with higher power rating. Alkaline batteries will not work very well in this camera, even if brand new. Would instead recommend that you consider rechargeable NiMH batteries. They run about $7 these days for a package of four. But they'll save you big bucks in the long run. Look on the package for power rating of 2,500mah or better.

Slow response time

Before a digital camera is ready to take a picture, the electronics inside the camera must get ready to capture the picture and save it to the memory card or the internal camera memory. Press the shutter button half-way (to its first detent) to set the exposure and focus. When the ready light is green, continue pressing the shutter button completely down to take the picture. The picture is taken almost immediately.
