Have you tried booting into the "Safe Mode"? During startup keep the F8 Key pressed. This will bring up a choice screen where you select Administrator, or any other username where you do not have a password. If it is an administrator account then you can change the password for all usernames. Read more at www.fixpcfreeze.com

Bios password on toshiba

Some Toshiba laptops come with a system BIOS password, making anyone without the password unable to get past the BIOS screen at system startup. This is a strong security measure, as it renders a stolen computer useless unless the password is known. If you have a Toshiba laptop and want to change the BIOS password, you can quickly do it.

1. Power on the computer while holding down the "Esc" key. Enter your current password when prompted and press "Enter."
2. Press "F1" to enter the BIOS setup menu. Highlight "REGISTERED" with the arrow keys and press the space bar. Enter your password and press "Enter."
3. Restart the computer while holding "Esc" and hit "F1" again to enter the BIOS menu. Highlight "NOT REGISTERED" with the arrow keys and press the space bar. Enter your new password and press "Enter." Type the password again for verification and hit "Enter." Press "End" to save the changes, and "Y" to exit.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

I have a BenQ Projector MP610. I lost my password and now i cannot use my projector. I get the code: 22504 13898 6789 8507. Please help...Please email me the decoded password... vmonacillo@yahoo.com

If you forget the password: You will be asked to enter the four digit password every time you turn on the projector. If you enter the wrong password, the password error message displays. You can retry by turning off the projector (by pressing Power) and start again, or if you did not record the password in this manual, and you absolutely do not remember it, you can use the password recall procedure. To enter the password recall procedure: Press and hold Right4 for 5 seconds. The projector will display a coded number on the screen. Seek help from the local BenQ service center to decode the number. You may be required to provide proof of purchase documentation to verify that you are an authorized user of the projector. To change the password: 1. Open the on-screen menu and go to Setting > Change Password. 2. Press Left 3 or Right4. A “Password Change” message displays. 3. Enter the old password. i. If the password is correct, you can go on to enter new password. IMPORTANT: Write your selected password down here in this manual so that it is available to you should you ever forget it. Password: __ __ __ __ Keep this manual in a safe place. ii. If the password is incorrect, a “Password Error” message displays. Press Up 5 to try again or press Down 6 to cancel. Asking for password on boot up password not known, after three attempts massage is system halted

Sounds to me as if there is a power on password set, can you get into the bios? try pressing <delete> or F2, if it asks for a password then you will need one to access the CMOS, within the CMOS is an Administrator password as well as a power on or user password, those have to be cleared in order to boot or the proper password entered at start up in order to continue the boot process
