Question about Lexmark T630 Laser Printer

1 Answer

I have a lexmark T630 and the fuser needed replacement, now the printer will print just fine with one problem. On every page that prints out there is about 2in from the left side of the paper light print. The rest of the page is just fine. Another tech even changed the fuser again and lvps but same result. Can anyone think anything I am missing. I have also checked all of the voltages on the fuser board and they are fine.

Light print is usually caused by a bad charge roll or transfer roll. Can also be caused by a bad HVPS, which I hope is not. But try cleaning the charge roll. Check the transfer roll, it may have shifted all the way to the left. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

The maintenance message is on

The maintenance kit counter has hit the required number of pages to trigger this message. You could simply go into the configuration menu and clear the maintenance count, but likely your fuser will be getting to the point where it will start causing print defects and need to be replaced.

I keep getting a paper jam 201 every time I print. Then I have to open it up and take out the cartridge. What is causing the paper to jam?

A 201 paper jam error indicates the paper did not reach the fuser sensor within the proper time period. This usually indicates the fuser has a problem and needs to be replaced. The part number for the fuser is 56P1333 and it is user installable. You can get one from many places online such as

You have to check if you do not have a fuser problem.
In that case you have to chage the fuser

Printer, started printing the entire page black?

Most likely the fuser in your printer is damaged and needs to be replaced. Most of the time a printer maintenance kit can be purchased for around $100-150. Installation is usually simple and can be found in your user manual.

Printer starts printing real slow after around 20 prints

this problem will be fixed by changing the fuser. the thermistor has been comprimized. the reason the printer slows down is the regulation of the heat has slowed and the fuser is not heating fast enough to keep up with the demand. changing just thethermistor woulld fix it

My printer keeps jamming going threw the fuser what do you recomend I replace thanks

pull the drawer out and check to see how many fingers are sticking out of the paper size snap in plate on the side of the drawer. letter size is the 2 bottom fingers if there are more or different fingers check to see where the paper slide inside the drawer is set if its not perfectly centered in the whole for that size paper the wrong fiingers will cause a timming issue. if these are right
print the network page and see if it prints smaller than the full page or if its missing the solid line that forms the box around the outside of the network settings at the bottom of the page. if either of these is true then replace the paper size board located behind the logic board.
if all of these are right either the narrow media or the exit sensor on the fuser itself will be the cause

If you are using the Postscript driver, switch to one of the PCL drivers. Either PCL or PCLXL.

If you are using PCL, switch to a different driver.

If all of the above fail, send me a Print to File so I can debug it.
