Question about Proform Crosswalk 500 Treadmill
If you can start ,stop ,incline up & dn and change speed without fluctuation and the belt does not stop. Then the speed sensor is working, sending a signal that is reaching the processor but may have some op amps that are defective in the upper console display causing no read outs, If what I have read by your description that would call Icon Fitness @ 1-800-999-3756 they will confirm what I think has happen and will give you a price on replacement

It is simple to change your treadmill so it reads MPH.
Treadmills are an easy and relatively inexpensive way of maintaining physical fitness. Most modern treadmills have a readout on their console that will track your speed over time in kilometers per hour or miles per hour. If your treadmill came with the wrong setting, it is possible to toggle between these two settings.
