Well the only thing that I know to do from experience is to call them directly and speak to customer serivce. They should take care of that for you.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

This sounds like someone trying to get your password. Go to Google, type in PayPal and go there and change your password immediately! Do not wait. Don't trust links to your e-mail.

Why have i been charged twice for a vodafone mobile i boght two weeks ago please explain thanking you des tuttle

Paypal has made an error most likely. See the Resolution Center to dispute the second charge @ https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/general/PPDisputeResolution-outside

Paypal was also recently hacked. This may have something to do with this error, or it may not.

I cannot getin into my Paypal account. It says my email address has changed and it has not!

Did you receive an email like this?

Dear Paypal member,
You have added somename@gmail.com as a new email address for your Paypal account.
If you did not authorize this change, check with family members and others who may have
access to your account first. If you still feel that an unauthorized person has changed
your email, submit the form attached to your email in order to keep your original email
and restore your Paypal account.
If you are using Internet Explorer please allow ActiveX for scripts to perform all data transfers
securely.
Thank you for using Paypal !
Please do not reply to this email.
This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response.

If so and you click on the links you have given your paypal info to a scammer and you will need to contact paypal at once to stop any other scams on your account.

The best thing that you can do is to contact the Paypal Support Section. They will determine your real problem and find solution for it.

I have been "permanently locked out" of paypal

Go to Facebook, find for a PayPal group from your country. I had a similar situation when I was locked out of $500 for 3 weeks. I wrote the manager, tried the in-system response centers (got only automated responses) and I finally wrote on paypal Canada's wall at Facebook. And I wasnt too polite... more of sarcastic note. My account got released the same day.

You can email them your previous email address and explain you concern. That is the only one way to get it fixed,
Once they erase your records then you can add it to this account, else they may give you an option to use the previous account.

Dear Friend, Do following to PROTECT yourself...............
  • Change your password often, once a week and dont make it easy such as using your birthdate etc
  • Make sure you dont go to any link from email, they can be mask. Make sure you see the URL from your internet bar is from https://www.paypal.com
  • Key loggers are everywhere these day, make sure you have all updated ANTI VIRUS, spywares.
  • Have a personal firewall, which control information coming in and out of your machine through the internet.
  • Paypal would never email you to ask for password or any personal information. When you get email from Paypal, make sure you check the email header, to see it is really comes from them.
  • To log in to your PayPal account or access the PayPal website, open a new web browser (e.g.,Internet Explorer 7 or Netscape) and type in the following: https://www.paypal.com
  • Emails from PayPal will address you by your first and last name or the business name associated with your PayPal account. Fraudulent emails often include the salutation "Dear PayPal User" or "Dear PayPal Member".
  • PayPal emails will never ask you to download an attachment or a software program. Attachments contained in fraudulent emails often contain viruses that may harm your computer or compromise your PayPal account.
  • Often, fraudulent emails will request details such as your full name, account password, credit card number, bank account, PIN number, Social Security Number, or mother's maiden name.
  • If you think that you have received a fraudulent email (or fake website), please forward the email (or URL address) to spoof@paypal.com and then delete the email from your mailbox. Never click any links or attachments in a suspicious email.

The email you got is a scam email to get a backlog into your paypal account.

Please ignore future emails from this address as it is not from Paypal.

Good luck and be very careful the kind of link that you browse.

Thanks for using Fixya.
