Water overflows the ice tray into the container. I have replaced the blue valve. Is there anything else other than adjusting the cube size?

The bucket is not overflowing with ice, water runs from the icemaker into the bucket.

Hi,
Many refrigerator ice makers operate 24 hours per day. They do this to match the increasing amounts of water and ice being consumed by modern customers. Some ice makers will stop once ice bucket full, but many do not. Therefore, if ice produced faster than you consume it the bucket may eventually overflow.
Turning off ice maker usually done via a switch or metal arm on the body of the ice maker. On those with a metal arm up position is 'off', and down position is 'on'.
Alternative method is to remove ice bucket and dispose of unwanted ice before it reaches top of bucket. Use caution with this method as some buckets are difficult to reinstall. It may be easier to simply dispense excess ice into a glass or bowl, which is then dumped into the sink. Excess ice can be used to water household plants.

So you don't need to adjust cube size.

Take care.

Ice maker overfills the ice tray, ejecting large block of ice instead of individual cubes.

What is your model number? Sounds like you may need a new icemaker. Sometimes when the icemaker motor goes bad it causes the icemaker to keep filling even though it hasn't kicked out the ice in there. Also, are you sure there isn't 2 valves on the refrigerator?

Large mass of ice cubes frozen together in tray, most likely from leaky ice maker. Can this be fixed without purchasing a new ice maker.

have you checked it when it's filling to see if it's overflowing or the heater on the ice maker might not be shutting off and melting some of the cubes but you have to check, also it could be the water valve, see if there's an adjustment on the ice maker, look in your book, some of them have an adjustment, try to adjust it so less water is coming into the ice maker but to answer your question you might need a new ice maker or a water valve, the only way to tell is to watch it when it fills to see what's happening, you can pop off the cover to the ice maker and jump it out with a piece of wire,in the bottom right hand corner you'll see two holes close together,t and h stick the jumper wire in those two holes and the ice maker will start up,watch it until it fills,if it overflows try the screw to let less water into it,if that doesn't work then it's gonna be the water valve letting to much water come into the valve

My ice maker is letting too much water go into the ice tray so it freezes in a solid piece. Cubes do fall down but there is so much water it freezes into a solid block

The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount of water fills the ice tray.

Cube size adjustment location on lg refrigerator

The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3 seconds.

Hi
you need to adjust the water level, carefully remove the front cover of the ice maker itself.
On the front of the ice maker, there is a small nylon screw that controls the water intake amount.
If the screw is turned to the Right, it will Decrease the amount of water entering the ice maker.
If the screw is turned to the Left, it will Increase the amount of water entering the ice maker.
The screw should only be turned 1/4 of a turn at a time; therefore, more than one adjustment may be required.
The maximum adjustment is one full turn in either direction. Additional rotation could damage the ice maker..
OR
Dirty icemaker water valve or broken valve can cause icemaker to overflow.

Ice maker overflows

The Icemaker may not be dumping the cubes after they freeze then more water pours in on top of them. The icemaker has a heater which turns the cubes loose and allows them to dump. You may find someone to work on an icemaker, not sure. If this is the case, I would replace the icemaker.
