It's all in the manual above...
It could be a few things, a write protected DVD, a setting, wrong format.. check your manual to see.

After a few videos my camera says movie recording disabled. is there anyway to fix this without resetting?

Most cameras quit recording if there is not enough space available in the Memory drive. If your videos are being saved to internal memory rather than an external (SD) card, there might not be enough space to record more than "a few videos". If videos are being saved to internal memory, adding/installing a "SD" card should fix your problem for you.

Have I lost all my video when my Sony Camcorder says Movie Recording Disabled?

Hi, Probably not. depending on the model this appears to be a safety feature keeping you from recording over what you may already have. There is probably a disable function if you want to record over those things, Check the manual, or the website for the manufacturer.

Movie Recording Disabled

guys hope you all found the solution like me who had same issue. if you noticed, it says about the aspect ratio and that means the formated disc aspect ratio is not compatible with the aspect ratio your camera need. so re-formating the dvd with right aspect ratio solved the problem quickly and we have peace.

DCR-DVD108 Problem

It's the disc not the camera......I purchased a 3 pack of Sony DVD-R discs. I put the first disc in and it recorded once. The next time I tried to record I got the message "movie recording disabled". After calling Sony, searching online, resetting the camera and reading through the manual I replaced the disc with another from the 3 pack and it is recording just fine. I read that recording straight to DVD has many problems, and I believe this is one of them. SONY SUCKS!!!!!
