Question about Linksys WVC54GCA Network Camera

Open Question

I can view output from my Linksys wvc54gca camera in Linux Mint by accessing its ip address in Firefox or VLC but the camera is not recognised in "Skype" or "Cheese". How can I set the camera up in Linux so as to be able to make video calls with Skype. Do I need a Linux driver? Does one exist? If so, where can I get it and how do I install it? Help would be much appreciated.

I can not access My Linksys WAP2000 Business series. I can not reset it either.

With the access point UNPLUGGED from power
hold down the reset button, PLUG IN POWER, keep holding reset
after 10 seconds, release. Access Point will then be configured with
a default static IP address of 192.168.1.245
Then open a browser like IE or Firefox and type in that IP and the
config screen will show up.

Once you have properly installed your camera drivers, DO NOT unplug the USB port as it will cause the drivers to become corrupt . Alwayw unplug them after you have shut down your computer. Like wise connect them back up before you start the computer.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

is your office camera connected to the wrt54g? do you know the ip address of your camera? the port number will come from your camera. If the camera is connecting to the wrt54g, you can open the router configuration page and input your settings there. Call linksys technical support for that. Linksys wireless camera--viewable if ISP uses dynamic IPs?

Ok, everything by default hands out dynamic ip addresses. If the camera is plugged into the network it will automatically pick up an ip address and you would be able to see it in your router config page. Try attaching the camera to the wireless network and then log into your router and look for attached devices. Let me know if you get stuck and where you get stuck.
