Question about Acer Aspire 3610 Notebook
I just got a (used) Acer Aspire 3620 laptop. I cannot connect it to my router wirelessly however, because it tells me that it simply cannot connect. It doesn't pick up any wireless networks and when i try to set one up manually it tells me that my wireless card is somehow disabled. I need a full list of ways to enable my wireless card. It's physically in the computer, it's just somehow beeen disabled and i can't find out how to re-enable it.
I have tried the Fn key and theres several switches i dont really understand on the front of the laptop..I'm so confused. I've right click disable/enabled the wireless connection thingy, and disabled windows firewall and i'm still not picking up my wireless router. I enabled wireless on my router and everything, my roomate can connect fine on his laptop, it's just mine.
Another thing you could do is go to My Computer and right click it then go to hardware tab and then go to de4vice manager and find your wirelesss card and check if it is enabeled, usually with Acer aspires it has a setting where it will disavble it when it isn't connected to the power socket.
Hope this helps :)

Okay......who is your internet provider??? if it is sasktel then they have a very helpful help line that that you can reach them at and their number is 1-800-773-2121. but before you do that....open your wirless conection options thing and then click advanced and then clik the litle square at the top that says let windows configure your wirless stuff (something like that :P) and then it should work...it did for me....but if that doesnt work give sasktel a call and they'll help you fix it :) (its 24/7 support so give em a call whenever :P)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Locate the Wireless LAN switch located on the front of your Acer Notebook.
Move the switch to the right to turn on Wireless connections.
Right-click the network icon located on the system tray next to the clock.
You should see a list of available wireless networks.
Select the network you want to connect to and click "Connect."
Power on the Acer Aspire laptop.
Right-click the wireless Internet icon in the lower right corner of the desktop.
Select "Enable" from the pull-down menu.
Right-click the wireless icon again.
Select to view all available wireless networks in the area.
Momentarily a window appears with all of the available Wi-Fi networks.
Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to, then type in the password (if required).
Click "Connect," and your Acer Aspire computer connects to the Internet.
hope this helps
