Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

I own the same router. In the back of the router there is a little red button you can push with a pen or the like. This should restore the factory default settings on the router. That should rollback the firmware upgrade and solve your problem. You will need to setup your router again but it should not be a paper weight anymore.

I don't know where you downloaded the "tptp.exe" file, but I can tell you right away that this is not the right format for upgrading a firmware. You should have a file with the ending ".bin" downloaded instead.
If you are using Linksys firmware, go here and download the file "FW_WRT54Gv5v6_1.02.7.011_EN_20090727.bin".
Leave the page alone and don't touch your router until the upgrade is finished and the router has rebooted. Go get a coffee or something, but leave your computer alone until it's done.
I really can't stress this point enough - I have seen several dead routers due to impatience.
If you have any more questions with any of theses steps, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.
