You need to get a multimeter and start looking for shorts. Start from the power cord to the control board. There is a short in the system somewhere causing it to trip your circuits

Tumble dryer eeps tripping electric

Had same problem found a lot or water at the rear of the condensing element at bottom front of dryer because the float at the rear was blocked with fluff resulting in water being flicked up by the fan onto the heating element and tripping the electric. Cleaned out float compartment and been fine up til now. For a quick fix (UNPLUG FIRST) remove the condensing element at the bottom front of tumble dryer(behind the drop down cover) then carefully tip the dryer forward and to the left so that it practically balancing on the front left corner, you will probably get a fair bit of water come out so have some towels ready, then dry as much as you can see inside the compartment then replace element and should be good for quite a while until you have more time to clean out the rear compartment. Hope this helps, let me know.

Tripping ELCB (RCB)

sounds to me like a short circuit in the heating coil circuit. One would have to ohm out the coils.

Indesit is70c

its a saftey device, called a "thermodisk". It's purpose is to turn off the heating coil or stop gas flow in the event of over heating. If the thermodisk is bad, trying to over ride it (trying to get it to run) will trip the breaker. Its about 10 bucks and easy to replace.

I've changed the belt on my indesit is60v but now it will not start could it be a loose wire? my test pen says power is going from the start button to the timer

Just because power is getting to the switch doesn't necessarily mean the switch isn't bad. It is also possible that the motor or timer is defective.

Hi I have an Indesit is70c dryer it seems to work fine for 10-15 mins but then trips the fues box in the house as it cuts out. I've had a look for at the fuse and have cleaned out all filters / condensers....

Do not overload the dryer as the motor can struggle and try to draw to much power.which could cause the trip to go to out, only load drum half full.....this applies to washing machines as well"NEVER OVERLOAD THEM" with washing machines it can affect the quality of your wash as well as putting extra strain on the motor.

found that moisture is getting to the timer control and causing mains trip!!!!!! need to dry out timer control then all should be well , aided drying with hairdryer, design flaw will cause this on most is70c i think.

I have in indesit tumble dryer model no;-IS70C.When i hit the start button the machine cuts out right away and trips the main socket RCD in my fuse box.Sometimes the machine starts and then cuts out again...

Hiya drodger, i had the same problem with my hotpoint dryer, (same company) if this is a condenser dryer make sure the drawer is collecting the water there is a small hole at the bottom of the drawer if you have a straw poke it in and clean it out, also at the back of the dryer there is a clear plastic pipe and a black one take them both off and clean them, your problem is exactly the same as mine so you will probably have to buy a new heating element (they are a lot cheaper from ebay) they are so easy to fit just 2 clips (i did it and im not dead yet!) hopefully you will then find the dryer will work perfectly, word of advice though clean the collecting drawer out at least once a month.
Hope this helps
