How to reset a Whirpool dishwasher.

You have to press a series of button in sequence, the sequence is completed pressing the Hi-Temp wash, air dry, Hi-temp wash and air dry again in succession.

On some model it can be Sani Rinse wash, air dry, Sani Rinse and air dry again in succession.

If that does not work, then try tripping the circuit breaker for two minutes, emptying water that can be eventually inside the tub, connecting back, and doing the reset sequence again.

How do I turn up the heat to remove most condensation after washing?

As part of the current ecological, energy-saving, environmentalist-wacko movement, dishwasher makers have cut back on the heating used to dry dishes. In fact in many dishwasher designs, they have eliminated the drying vent altogether, and instead use a condensate or condensation-drying system. In this system, the last rinse cycle is heated to a high temperature, to heat the dishes. The water is then pumped out, and the dishwasher shuts down. The theory is that water will evaporate off the hot dishes, condense on the sides of the dishwasher, and run back down into the sump area. Bosch was one of the first diswashers to do this, and it works fairly well for them. Other manufacturers have tried this, with varying results. Here's what you can do to improve drying:
1. It is imperative that you use rinse-aid (Jet-Dry). This allows more water to flow off the dishes and what flows off does not need to evaporate.
2. If the dishwasher has the options, turn on high-temperature wash and sani-rinse. This gets the dishes hotter for better evaporation.
It is possible that the heater may not be working at all, and that will cause poor washing performance and no drying. This is very rare in dishwashers less than 3 years old. Most likely, poor drying in a new dishwasher is caused because you are not using rinse-aid.

Blinking "Normal" light on a Maytag model

Hi

Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Blue sticky spots in my dishwasher

some of the soaps out there are tempurture sensitive, several different ingrediants waiting on different temps during differnet times of the cycle,
I have seen this before or at least something similar,
does the soap your using now have the jet dry as part of it
if yes id go back to jet dry, your rinse cycle is not hot enough to fully disolve the jet dry in the soap, it gels and coaleses every where.
its designed to do that, so it will not just be washed down the drain on the wash cyle with the rest of the soap.....

Bosch dishwasher

Although I previously posted with the same problem of a film on the dishes after cleaning, I did find a section in the owner's manual which solved my problem. Lift up the rinse aid cap on the inside door - the factory setting is on "4". The rinse aid works in conjunction with your local water, which has variations in it's hardness or softness. When your dishes are streaky, lower the rinse aid setting to 1 or 2. If your dishes are spotted, raise the rinse aid setting higher.
