I have the same problem. I have been using the HDMI port on a HDMI switch for over a year with no problems, a few nights ago the picture went out and I get the blue screen saying low or weak signal. I've tested for more than one source and used more than one HDMI cord so I'm confident it's the TV. I think it may be the DMD board and I am trying to find instructions for it's removal.

What are you attempting to use HDMI for? Sometimes you have to adjust the settings of the system that is using the HDMI connection. The tv needs to reset to HDMI

Does the TV have a plug connection I think is called DVI. There is a DVI to HDMI adapter that also needs an audio connection on TV to work. Other option is audio and video rca cables. You may also need to change input connection to correct source, as it may not be auto for connection

That TV is suppose to have automatic input detection but if it doesn't work you can press the input button on the remote and then use the arrows and enter to select the input you are trying to use.

Wd65738 blue screen

blue screen means no video signal, if the source is on hdmi ensure the cable is rca or in simple audio video jacks which u will have to connect in the dvi input of the tv reason is hdmi means high definition interface and transmits by hdcp like the data of an internet meaning its digital platform which the tv can only process thru the dvi inputs or component y,p,b

How do i plug in the dvd player

It depends on how you want to view your DVD. If you are using an HDMI cable then you will plug into the 1st available HDMI input. If you are using component cables, then you would plug into the first available component input. Match the Red, Green and Blue cables to the R,G and Blue plugs. You would also have your Right and Left Audio cables that are Red and White. If you are using a composite cable then you would connect to the 1st available composite input. Yellow cable and then your Right and Left audio cables that are Red and White.

I have an older 2004 or so philips hdtv projection tv with the built in tv stand. i want to connect my HD cable box but there are no hdmi ports. and i buy a wire with the VGA on one end and hdmi on the...

Get a component video cable (blue, green, red) and a separate RCA audio cable (white and red) if your cable box has a component video output and the TV has a component video input.

If your cable box doesn't have the component output, you will need a converter to go from the HDMI to component video. Something like this: http://www.hdtvsupply.com/hdmi-to-component.html . There are other converters available if your TV has some other inputs available.

A cable that has an HDMI M on one end and a VGA M on the other will not work. HDMI signals from the set top box are a digital signal. The VGA port on the TV is set to read an RGB analog signal. (Similarly a component to VGA cable would not work since the RGB and PbPrY are not compatible.)

I hope this helps.

I am trying to hook my ps3 up to my Hitachi 65 s500. I have the hdmi cable to hook up to imput 1 but when I do that The screen is showing fuzzy color but no picture. What am I doing wrong.

Make sure you're hooking it up to the HDMI port or the Composite port correctly. There is a red green and blue for composite that usually wont work in a port marked "Input 1" You would need to put it in "component/composite 1" correctly. I've come across this not working in 1080, but fine in 720p.

Input 6 - HD Input - Green Screen. Audio Only. No picture.

Hi there,
I am having a similar problem with the inputs. I have a cable box plugged in to cable antenna, DVD to video 6 using HDMI, Mac computer plugged in to video 7 - using HDMI (TV does not recognize this) and then Nintendo Wii hooked up to Video 1. My problem is that Sony only realizes 2 additional components like the video 1 (wii) and DVD on video 6, it does not play the other components. I have to niw manually switch the cables to have them work...
