Question about Wise Solutions Wise For Windows Installer 6 Enterprise Edition for PC
I just finished downloading Starwars Battlefront 2 from:
It says I need these requirements to play: (The words in the brackets are what I have)
Operating system: Windows 2000/XP (Windows XP) Processor: Pentium 4 1.5 GHz (Genuine Intel(R) CPU 2140 @ 1.60GHz [2 CPUs]) Memory: 256 MB (1024MB RAM)
Video: 64 MB (512MB)
Sound card: compatible with DirectX 9.0c (DirectX 9.0c )
Available at Railway: 5.5 GB <- What does this mean?
CD-ROM speed: 8x <- How do I check?
Do I meet the requirements?
I extracted it; opened up the file and inside there was 4 files: Disk1(712,674kb) Disk1(1kb) Disk2(367,454kb) Disk2(1kb) They are all MDF files.
I open either of the Disk2 files and it has junk like DirectX, Docs, some setup-2.bin file?
I open either of the Disk1 files and "Starwars Battlefront 2 Autorun" opens, it has four options, they're all in a very weird language, and only 2 of them are clickable..
The second one gives me this:
ýòàïû çàïóñêà èãðû 1 - óñòàíîâèòå èãðó. 2 - ïåðåçàãðóçèòå êîìïüþòåð. 3 - çàïóñòèòå èãðó, ïðè ýòîì ïîÿâèòñÿ äèàëîãîâîå îêíî. 4 - íàæìèòå êíîïêó KPAK è çàêðîéòå ýòî îêíî, íàæàâ êðåñòèê â ïðàâîì âåðõíåì óãëó îêíà. 5 - èãðà çàïóñòèòüñÿ àâòîìàòè÷åñêè.
I think it's a readme..
The first option opens an installer.. it's in that language.. I run threw the installer and it begins to installer, but halfway threw I get an popup.. I think it's asking me where I want to save something..
It has a bar where i'm suppose to put a path, the default is G:\, when I click ok is has ???? "setup-2.bin" ???? "G:\" ????. The ?'s meaning the random language..
I click browse and click on other options but it has the same result for everything.. Please help somebody!

When Microsoft publicly releases a particular Service Pack,
it does not change at all. If future updates are recommended,
they are available at the Windows Update web site.
In other words, there are no differing versions of a
Service Pack "build" once it is designated as RTM
(Released To Manufacturing).
"Build" is the version number when the CD was pressed, normally the RTM
(release to manufacture).
so, the solution to your problem is get another XP cd and reinstall it..
