Hello. If the turntable is wobbling you will have to replace the mechanism. Your local appliance dealer can order the part for you or you can go to
and look under contacts to order directly from panasonic. Joe

Turntable in new Samsung Microwave is wobbly-- turns OK but goes down if you put something on it away from the teflon rollers.

If the turntable is unstable in the oven, it's most likely an issue with the oven cavity. The tray is probably borosilicate glass, the roller guide is simple, this is something a service tech should see in person. If the oven in still under warranty you should pursue a warranty service call to make sure the oven cavity was not stamped incorrectly. Pleazer Appliance...

I'm experiencing occasional arching from the center of the oven i.e. out of the spindle that rotates the metal rack and glass turntable. I cleaned thoroughly and it seems to have minimized the proble

Its unlikely to be associated with the tuntable motor. Units are tuned to prevent arching. Therefore it appears something may have changed inside the unit. Be sure there are no loose items or bits of foil or other mateallic items inside. Also check metal turntable.

RVM1435 Turntable not working

The turntable motor can be replaced by following these simple steps:

1. UNPLUG the microwave before servicing.
2. Locate and remove the screws around the perimeter of the bottom panel of the microwave (located UNDER the microwave bottom).
3. With the screws removed the panel will open, exposing the turntable motor. Remove the glass tray and reach inside the oven cavity and grasp the turntable spindle. Pull straight up to remove it from the motor shaft.
4. With the spindle removed, disconnect the motor connector plug and mounting screws.
5. Insert new motor and reinstall everything using the steps provided in reverse order.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: If this microwave is mounted, this repair can be performed without uninstalling the oven.

Won't Turn on

The turntable motor on the base of the machine may have failed. Take the plate out, put a small plastic jug of water in the microwave corner (out of the way of any roller), set for 30 seconds, and see if the spiggot/roller ring rotates. It also could be the spindle of the turntable motor has broken off in the spigott/roller ring.

Dacor dcm24 microwave

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven. You may have to cut the cover off with snips, then use a screw when reassembling it.

Here are those part numbers:

66388 Turntable motor
66489 Turntable coupling

You can order either of there here.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

SANYO EM-D9550. Turntable turns when off but not when cooking.

That's sounds pretty strange!

Since I don't have any service data on Sanyos, I'd have to speculate.

I would guess that one scenario that could cause it would be if the turntable were turned off via the control panel, but there was a switch or switch mount problem.

I would refer you to their support people:

The turntable has a small motor underneath it that rotates the glass tray. You could have a motor that is going bad, or the plastic spindle (what the glass plate sits on) could be slipping. You can access the motor through the bottom panel. Be careful to make sure the microwave is unplugged for attempting any repairs inside. There is potentially as much as 14,000 volts in the high voltage network around the magnetron. Let me know if this helps.
