Your engine is flooding because you needle and seat along with the float is bad - out of adjustment and needs repairing or what is commonly called a rebuild.
Best of luck - I suggest a professional.

look at the inside of your throttle body to see if the air flap is opened enough to let air in without you holding the gas paddle down.

Car will not start like its not catching fire , i have a 2008 suzuki xl7

old post. but will answer.
the starter only cranks the engine, that is it's only job.
if it cranks robustly (at crank shaft pulley ,see it) then its ok.
250 RPM is typical cranking speed. RPM
no starts are complex.
for any engine Gas, to start you needs 4 things.
  1. ALL FUSE TO EFI GOOD, TEST THEM. CEL glows key on?
  2. full engine compression and crank vacuum 5" HG or more.?>??
  3. Spark , try a fresh tune up with fresh spark plugs. all 6 sparking.?
  4. Fueling , must be right. not flooding , not starving
if spark and engine are good, all engines(most) will start with test fuel.
This one simple test. proves the engine is ok, and spark is ok.
and the fuel system is dead.
these checks , will let is work the 4 systems. that might fail.
this is the classic basics path.
and works 99.% of the time.

exceptions, are clogged melted cat.
or stuck wide open EGR
or ISC stuck closed, (no starting air.) use 10% throttle to prove that.
or flooding, if flooding use super secret unflood mode (opr guide)
hold the throttle (right foot) pedal to the floor, this cuts fueling
and the flooded engine starts, for full time or runs and floods and stalls again.
This is called basics , in all ASE books in print.
RTM.

I have a 88 k 2500 5.7 ltr. v8. im flooding out in the trottle body the injectors are pouring the gas in. i have change the fuel pump, sending unit, fuel filter.

Check to see if the Engine Coolant Temp sensor is disconnected or the wires to it broken. Test the ECT for proper operation. If this sensor fails, it will send a message to the computer that the engine is still full cold--even though the engine may be warm. The computer will schedule too much fuel for a warm engine and you'll have flooding out.

Have a 2006 honda shadow 750 aero-not a VT-keeps blowing gas out to the air cleaner holding area and the needle valve has been replaced

It is always a good idea to always turn your gas off when not riding. This condition can happen with any bike, even new ones. Did you change your oil after it happened? After the engine has been flooded it is important to check the oil and change it if fouled with gas. If the oil reads higher than it should it is full of gas and will no longer lubricate your motor properly. If you have a vacuum operated fuel petcock and the vacuum diaphragm gets a hole in it, it can be the cause of the engine flooding with gas. Check the fuel petcock for damage and repair it with a K&L kit or a new assembly from Honda.

1995 dodge caravan S.E. 3.3L doesn't want to start, then does and dies out (also pushing gas petal almost to the floor?????)

pushing gas pedal to near floor causes what is called clear flood fuction. if cranking engine with near full throttle the fuel injectors will not activate, assumes flooded engine and will not start.
most likely you have a very dirty throttle body. clean well with tooth brush and carb cleanr esecially were the throttle plate rests at idle, the plate and the wall of body. just a little carbon build up will cause a no start

Experienced recent cold weather. Car will not

It's flooded like you say.
If it's really flooded, you'll have to remove plugs and dry them off.
Install them.
Now when you crank engine, hold gas pedal to floor.
That will stop gas from spraying into engine.
You need to get the gas out of the engine for it to start.
Crank for 20-30 seconds with pedal to floor. Do this 3 times waiting 2-3 minutes inbetween cranks.
The starter needs to cool down.
Then after that start normally and see if it will start.
Remember if it will not start after 2 attempts, then the possiblity of it flooding is there and you'll have to clear out the gas by holding the pedal to the floor again.

The car has full electric powers but it wont turn over. what's the problem

Just because the lights go on and the radio plays does not mean you have full power.
Many things can keep a car from starting, and the cold makes them worse.
Did you try jump starting?
And most importantly did you crank the engine for maore than a minute at a time? That means you have flooded the engine with gas.
To fix this, jump the car while holding the gas pedal to the floor. Do this 4 times at 20-30 seconds each.
Then try and start without holding gas pedal.

Motor will not start. Plug is igniting has spark. seems to be to much gas. mberko1481@aol.com

Hello,

First thing to check would be your air filters make sure not blocked as this will act as the choke if blocked and will flood the engine,

If all is well remove plug and remove as much excess fuel as possible with compressed air etc, then reassemble and see if it will fire,(With full throttle and NO CHOKE) you may have to repeat this a couple of times...

Once you get the engine to fire it may geep running if the engine was just flooded otherwise if the engine floods again then you will most likely have a problem in your carby mabie a piece of rubbish under the needle valve holding it open causing the engine to flood and the carby will have to be cleaned and tank flushed

Good luck with it hope this helps!!!!

Kind regards
Brad

LT 1000 flooding gas out muffler and stalls, then pours in carb.

Check your oil. Does it smell like gas? If so, don't run it even if you could. You will fry your engine. The float needle and seat in the carb are leaking. In other words, the float needle is not shutting off the gas when the bowl is full. You need to have them replaced.

I think there is gas in my oil

The cause of gas in the oil may be several things. If the engine floods all the time or has flooded. If you have trouble starting it in the morning and fuel goes into the oil sump. If your truck has a carburator the needle is probably bad. In any case, have youe engine checked. gas in the oil is not good. Change the oil and filter. If it continues take the truck to a good mechanic that you can trust..
