Lost users manual don't know how to retrieve messages

The above link is the manual. I was looking at pgs 15, 16, and 18. On pg 18 it says there is a default code that will retrieve messages you enter from phone, that's probably it I think. Download is 12.8mb.

Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

From your handset, you just have to press the mute button, your phone should start telling you the time, date, ect. press the #5 key and then the #8 key and start recording your message. When finished press the # 8 key again. Hope this helps

Sorry... But I'd like to know more about your question.. as maybe I can help.
You want to retrieve your phone messaqges from where..?
A answering machine connected to the Uniden Cordless phone?
Or from elsewhere on your telephone line?

if its a message on a digital answering device attached or built into your Uniden cordless phone..... what type and model is the complete cordless phone?
( ie: 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz 6.0GHz??? Is Uniden cordless phone a Multi handset (1, 2, 3, 4..handsets?) do you need an instruction manuel on how to access it, or did you loose a password?

Sorry for all the questions.. but many cordless phones All operate slightly different, and I'd love to give you a quick fix fast.

my son retrieved the manual from the trash can in time! The problem is that the phone itself has the number DECT 6.0 printed on it, but in fact it is a DECT 1580 so I didn't know where to get help.

You hit "mute" on the handset, then 5 to stop pre-recorded message playback, then 8 to start recording, then either 5 or 8 to stop recording.

Why didn't I think of that?

To reset the indicator(Red light flashing on handset), press and hold the find handset key for 5 seconds or until the light flashing stops(10 sec).
